LENEXA, Kan. (Oct 12, 2009) – Neighbors Construction Company announced today that the recently completed town home project in historic downtown Overland Park ,The Townhomes at Buckley Court , has won three awards during the recent Kansas City Home Builders, Fall Parade of Homes. The project, developed by Regions LLC, entered two model homes in the parade. Both models won awards. The Parade of Homes, held September 19 - October 4, was sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City
The Home Builders Association played host to building and design professionals from across the country to judge the best of all the homes entered in the Fall Parade of Homes. The experts spent the weekend touring, critiquing and grading the homes entered in this year's Pick of the Parade and Distinctive Plan & Design contests. Each entry is judged on a specific set of building or design criteria developed and refined by a committee of industry professionals.
The Delmar floor plan, which is a two bedroom two bath design, including a ground-floor master suite, won two awards. It received the Grand Prize award for Pick of the Parade, and the First-Place award for the Distinctive Plan and Design contest. The Avalon floor plan is a two bedroom, 2 ˝ bath row home. It was awarded, First Runner-Up in the Pick of the Parade contest.
The Distinctive Plan & Design contest focuses on interior design and architectural elements; judging is based on criteria for floor plan layout, lighting, and best use of space within the home. Homes entered in this contest are complete with fabulous interior design and furnishings.
The Pick of the Parade Awards, recognizes outstanding construction performance, including the quality of materials used, craftsmanship, and the overall finished look.
